My problem is that I don’t know where to put the difficulty. I quickly quit the game after this realization and intend to begin it again on a higher difficulty setting. With the difficulty on the easiest setting I began to recognize I was not feeling tense based on how easy enemy encounters were, and as such was likely missing the point of the game. I understand the game is supposed to have a dark, tense, and isolated feeling to it. I did the same when starting Deadspace, which was all fine on my end until combat started to become present in the game. I normally play games on the easier difficulty settings to make them more enjoyable from the perspective of someone who plays games for the setting’s atmosphere.
